Magnemite

Magnemite are dual-type Pokémon. They are Electric-type as well as Steel-type. They were first introduced during Generation I. Before Generation II, they used to be exclusively Electric-type.

Magnemite evolves into Magneton, starting at Level 30. Magneton develops into Magnezone when they are leveled up in particular magnetic fields or exposed to Thunder Stones. They are commonly found in locations like power plants and caves.

Characteristics

Magnemite is a small, seemingly robotic Pokémon. They have a gray-colored bodies. They are spherical and have red and blue horseshoe magnets on each side of their body. They have a singular, large eye.

They weigh around 6 kilograms or 13 pounds and are 0.3 meters tall. Magnemite has three screws on its body. One Screw is on top of their heads, and two and near the bottom. The screws on the top look similar to antennas.

Even though they seem to be mechanical creatures, the anime shows that Magnemite uses emotions as a way to reproduce. They feed in the form of electrical currents in areas with strong magnetic fields.

They have a modern and artificial appearance, but they were first seen in carvings discovered in the Ruins of Alph. They were also present in the Kalos war.

Magnemite is not aggressive Pokémon and approaches trainers with little notice. They are known to flee occasionally as they are not interactive Pokémon. When Magnemite are attacked, they respond with non-damaging moves.

If Magnemite runs out of electricity, they simply fall. Batteries can help them recharge and move again. They are usually attracted to anything that emits electricity or shows magnetic properties. They may attack power plants.
