Gastly

Gastly is dual-type Pokémon. They were first introduced during Generation I. They are both Poison-type and Ghost-type Pokémon. They evolve into Haunter at Level 25.

Haunter further evolves into Gengar upon trading. They can mostly be found in caves, but they are shown living in old buildings in the anime.

Characteristics

Gastly is an extremely lightweight Pokémon. They weigh 0.1 kilograms of 0.2 pounds and are 1.3 meters tall. They have no true form, and their bodies are 95% poisonous gas. The other 5% of their bodies comprise the souls of those who died from their toxic gas.

They appear in a black, spherical form with a purple haze around them. They have a wide, pink mouth with two sharp and visible fangs. Their eyes are vast and seem to extend past their spherical body.

Their eyelids surround their eyes. They produce a faint, sweet smell. The toxic gasses in their body can easily cause fainting and suffocation. They can fight with enemies of any size despite their lightweight.

Their gaseous form makes them one of the lightest Pokémon to ever exist in the Pokémon world. In the anime, Gastly is shown to have a very playful personality. They often play frightening pranks on people for dun. They preserve the memories of humans who have departed.

They also sometimes change forms and form illusions. For example, they can pass through solid objects and create tangible heads from their gasses. They huddle around in groups to avoid them when exposed to strong winds and storms. They also cause lights to flicker in abandoned houses.
