Blastoise
The cannon on its back is as powerful as a tank gun. Its rigid legs and back enable it to withstand the cannon’s recoil.
Blastoise is a water-type Pokémon that belongs to Generation 1.
The Blastoise journey begins from Wartotle at level 36 and is the final version of Squirtle.
There are two additional forms of Blastoise.
By using Blastoisinite, Blastoise can Mega Evolve and become Mega Blastoise.
The other form is called the Gigantamax form. Gigantamax is introduced in The Isle of Armor.
On both the Japanese and international versions of Pokémon Blue, Blastoise appears as the game mascot.
Characteristics
Blastoise is a huge Pokémon. It has two feet and looks like a turtle. Just like a turtle, it’s covered in a solid brown shell. This shell is of a light cream color from the inside, along with white ridge circles all over its arms, separating it into upper and lower halves. The body of Blastoise is blue. Over its shoulders, it is equipped with two powerful water cannons. The cannons are retractable. On its head, Blastoise has triangular black ears, brown eyes, and a cream-colored lower jaw. It has bulky arms with three claws on each hand and foot. A stubby tail emerges from the bottom of its shell.
This Pokémon is equipped with powerful cannons that emit water blasts capable of penetrating steel and concrete and can command high-speed charges. Despite their powerful blasts, Blastoise makes themselves heavy to survive and crush their opponents. Skull Bash and Hydro Cannon were two of its former signature moves. As seen in the anime, Blastoise is an excellent leader when dealing with a large group of Squirtle and Wartortle. Lakes and ponds seem to be their favored habitat.
With Mega Blastoise, the shells on its arms grow smaller, each with a water cannon. Rather than the two water cannons on its back, it has a single, more enormous, central water cannon that retracts into its shell. Mega Blastoise has a giant cannon installed over its head, which is said to have a blast range exceeding six miles or 10 kilometers. The ridges around its eyes and ears have now turned red. A minor point on its chin and the ears are angled slightly backward.
When Blastoise becomes Gigantamax, it becomes bigger, and its pupils turn white and blue. The head, legs, and arms turn light blue. Dark red now covers the underside of the shell. Blastoise can transform its shell into battleship-like shells equipped with 31 cannons in various sizes. The shell is punctured by twin cannons formed by hexagonal or rectangle-shaped holes. Its tail and legs are covered with white triangle spots. Around its main cannon are three red clouds.
The Giantamax Blastoise can use a variety of cannon combinations to adapt to any situation. The battle cannon is never aimed as the Blastoise prefers to cause havoc on its enemy by sending powerful, dynamic torrents flying from its cannons. This is because it is incapable of precision fighting. A legend says its main cannon is so powerful that it can pierce mountains. In addition, the Giantamax Blastoise can fire its twelve cannons individually, in any direction it chooses.
Blastoise is the only Pokémon capable of using the exclusive G-Max Move G-Max Cannonade.
