Abilities

    • Stench

This Pokemon's damaging moves have a 10% chance to make the target flinch with each hit if they do not already cause flinching as a secondary effect. This ability does not stack with a held item. Overworld: The wild encounter rate is halved while this Pokemon is first in the party.

    • Sticky-Hold

This Pokemon's hold item cannot be removed by other Pokemon. Damaging moves that would remove this Pokemon's item can still inflict damage against this Pokemon, e.g. knock off or pluck. This Pokemon can still use moves that involve the loss of its own item, e.g. fling or trick. Overworld: If the lead Pokemon has this ability, the encounter rate while fishing is increased.

Hidden Abilities

    • Poison-Touch

This Pokemon's contact moves have a 30% chance of poisoning the target with each hit. This counts as an extra effect for the purposes of shield dust. This ability takes effect before mummy.

Grimer

Grimer are poison-type Pokémon. They were first introduced during Generation I. They evolve into Muk at Level 38.

In Alola, Grimer has a dual-type regional form. Alolan Grimer is both Poison-type and Dark-type. They are found within polluted lakes and streams. They can also be found in cities and factories.

Characteristics

Grimer is slimy Pokémon. Their bodies are animated because of lunar radiation. They weigh 30 kilograms or 66 pounds. They are 0.9 meters tall. They have two large eyes with beady pupils in the center.

Their mouth is wide with gray tongue. They lack any visible legs but have two arms on their side. Each of their arms has a hand with three digits. Their bodies are purple and have a lot of bacteria. These bacteria are so potent that Grimer can leave soil barren.

They are constantly oozing a bacteria-rich liquid from their body. Pieces of them may fall off during movement and go off to become a new Grimer. When they combine with other Grimer, they produce new poisonous compounds.

They do not have a solid body and can easily squeeze into any space. They use this ability to penetrate sewage pipes. As a result, they feed on filthy wastewater inside these sewage pipes.

Grimer was first brought to Alola to deal with the waste problem due to the increasing population. They ate solid garbage, and their new diet caused their body composition to change.

Grimer’s body is green with yellow sludge along their lower lip. They store various toxins within their bodies and have lethal poisons leaking out. They do not produce a foul stench as the normal Grimer do. Alolan Grimer also preys on Trubbish and Garbodors.
