Pokémon Description

Although this Pokémon is normally zoned out, its expression abruptly sharpens on occasion. The cause for this seems to lie in Slowpoke’s diet.

Because Galarian Slowpoke eat the seeds of a plant that grows only in Galar, their tails have developed a spicy flavor.

Slowpoke

Slowpoke is dual-type Pokémon. They are water-type and Psychic-type. They were first introduced in Generation I. Slowpoke evolves into Slowbro, starting at Level 37. They also evolve into Slowking upon trading while holding King’s Rock.

Slowpokes usually live by the water’s edge. Slowpoke also has a Galarian form, a Psychic-type regional form that evolves into Slowbro when exposed to Galarica Cuffs.

Characteristics

Slowpoke is pink-colored Pokémon that are somewhere between hippopotamuses and salamanders. They weigh around 36 kilograms or 79 pounds and are 1.2 meters tall. They have vacant eyes that never seem to be in focus.

Their ears are curled in a rounded muzzle. Slowpoke has four legs, each with a single claw. Their long tail comes with a white tip. There is a sweet and sappy substance dripping from the tail.

Many fish in the sea are attracted to this substance. Therefore, this substance is often used by Slowpoke to help them prey on fish. If their tails break off, they can grow a new one. Their tails are often used in home-cooked stews in the Alolan region.

Slowpoke is a dim Pokémon. They often forget what they are doing and take a long time to respond. They may take up to five seconds to respond to pain and can sometimes go a day without realizing their tail has been bitten off.

Some communities believe that Slowpoke’s yawn causes rain. In those communities, slowpokes are worshiped. In Galar, slowpoke has a yellow coloration on their forehead, and their tail is a brighter shade of pink.

Their tails emit a spicy substance instead of sweet. Galarian Slowpoke usually relaxes near seashores and riverbanks.
