Poliwag

The direction of the spiral on the belly differs by area. As a result, it is more adept at swimming than walking.

Poliwag are water-type Pokémon. They were first introduced in Generation I. Poliwag evolved into Poliwhirl at Level 25 and above. Poliwhirl further evolves into Poliwrath when they are exposed to Water Stone.

They can also evolve into Politoed when traded while holding a King’s rock. Poliwag is usually found in Lakes, Freshwater ponds, and other water bodies.

Characteristics

Poliwag resemble tadpoles. They are blue. They have huge eyes and pink lips. Their lips act like suction cups for rocks. They weigh around 12.4 kilograms or 27 pounds. Their height is about 0.5 meters or 2 feet.

Their leveling rate is medium-slow. Their skin is thin but very flexible. It is tough to puncture their skin. Their abdomen has a black and white swirl. The swirl is their internal organs showing through the thin skin.

The swirl becomes much clearer after the Pokémon eat. Their swirl will have a white-colored tinge if the Pokémon is affected by a disease. The directions of their bellies are not always the same. The earth’s equator affects the direction of their bellies.

Poliwag has newly developed legs. They are not good walkers. They lack arms. Poliwag has a long and thin tail. A light blue-colored fin surrounds their tail. Their tails make them very powerful swimmers.

They like to waddle on land and quickly go back to water when they see dangers. They need to be adequately trained to walk on land for long periods. They feed on salveyo weeds found at the bottom of lakes.
