Diglett

Japanese: ディグダ Digda

Dugtrio is ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. They evolve into Dugtrio, starting at Level 26. In the Alolan regions, Dugtrio are dual-type Pokémon.

They are both ground and steel type Pokémon. They evolve into Alolan Dugtrio at Level 26. They mostly live in caves and tunnels.

Characteristics

Dugtrio are small Pokémon. They are half-buried inside the ground, so only their head is visible. They are the smallest and lightest type of ground Pokémon. They weigh around 0.8 kilograms and are 0.2 meters tall.

They have a tiny pink body and black beady eyes. It is mentioned that Dugtrio have feet, but they are never shown, and their overall size is unknown. Dugtrio spend most of their time beneath the ground, and they have very thin skin on their bodies.

Exposure to sunlight makes their blood heat up. This exposure can make them weaker. Dugtrio feed on vegetables and roots in caves.

Farmers welcome Dugtrio in their land because they dig fresh soil, but they are often considered harmful to crops because they eat vegetables. They have a signature move called Fissure. Druddigon hunts them.

Alolan forms of Dugtrio have gold whiskers on their heads. These whiskers act as sensors when they are above the ground. Dugtrio often poke their heads above the ground to check their surroundings and use their whiskers for communication.

Dugtrio have different moves for their moods. When they are happy, they swing around, stand straight when angry, and droop when sad. Alolan Dugtrio are stronger than normal Dugtrio but are still very small Pokémon.
