Oddish

Oddish is a dual-type Pokémon as it is both Grass and Poison-type. It was first introduced in Generation I. Oddish evolved into Gloom at Level 21. Gloom later evolves into Vileplume when it is exposed to a Leaf Stone.

Gloom also evolves into Bellossom if exposed to a Sun Stone instead of a Moon Stone. Their scientific name is Oddium Wanderus. They are mostly found living in grasslands.

Characteristics

Oddish is a relatively small Pokémon. It weighs around five and a half kilograms or 12 pounds and is only a meter tall. Their species are 50 percent male and 50 percent female. Oddish resembles a blue plant bulb.

Their bodies are round, and they have red eyes with small mouths. Their distinctive feature is the five large leaves sprouting from their head. In the anime, these leaves are very versatile. They are used to scale surfaces and catch objects in the air.

In addition, Oddish was known for its Signature Petal dance moves. Oddish stays up at night and sleeps during the day. They bury themselves under the ground to avoid sunlight and predators. When someone pulls Oddish’s leaves buried underground, it responds by shrieking very loudly.

Oddish uses moonlight to grow. Once night falls and its leaves start absorbing moonlight, it moves and comes out of its hole. Oddish can wander up to one thousand feet, looking for the perfect place to plant itself.

They look for soil patches to scatter their seeds. If the soil patch is rich in nutrients, its leaves are fertile. Once Oddish has planted itself in a patch, its feet act as tree roots.
