Golbat

Golbat is a dual-type Pokémon. It was first introduced during Generation I. It is both poison and flying Pokémon. Golbat evolves from Zubat at level 22.

Golbat further evolves into Crobat with a high level of friendship. Golbat sleeps during the day and is mostly found in dark caves.

Characteristics

Golbat is a very large Pokémon. It weighs around 55 kilograms or 120 pounds and is around 1.6 meters tall. It is a large blue bat species. They have purple wing membranes and quite a few distinct features.

It has very small eyes, and its pupils are shaped like a slit. Their ears are triangle-shaped and purple. They also have large fangs in their upper jaws. Sometimes they also have a large purple tongue that they show.

Their feet are tiny, and their legs are short. However, even though their legs are short, Golbat can easily walk on the ground when they want to.

Golbat has very special fangs that they use for sucking blood. Their fangs are fragile but can pierce through some very hard materials. Sometimes Golbat loses their fangs because they try to suck blood from Steel-type Pokémon.

They can feed on both humans and Pokémon. They can suck up to 10 ounces of blood at once. Golbat can drink so much blood that it can change its blood type to its victim’s after feeding. This can make them gain weight and be too heavy to fly.

It also makes them vulnerable to attacks in the wild by other predators. However, they are caring species and share the blood they have sucked with other Golbat if they are hungry and do not find some Pokémon to prey on.
