Nidorina

Japanese: ニドリーナ Nidorina

Nidorina is a special poison-type Pokémon. It was originally introduced during Generation I. It was the first generation of Pokémon games known as Color or Chromatic Generation. Nidorina evolved from Nidoran at level 16.

It evolves into Nidoqueen when exposed to a Moons Stone. Nidorina is related to the Nidoran line but cannot breed like its fellow Nidoran, as Nidorina is a female-only species. Nidorina is generally found in hot savannas and plains.

Characteristics

Nidorina is a four-legged Pokémon, having two smaller forelegs and two larger hindlimbs. It is sky blue, with dark blue patches on its body. Nidorina has distinct features: shiny red eyes, pointed teeth, and spikes.

It also had very large ears covered in spines. Nidorina retracts its pointy and poisonous spikes in a group or rests in its burrow. It also retracts its spikes around its children.

They possess three claws in each limb and can easily stand on their hind legs. Its hind legs are thicker and longer compared to its forelegs. It enables them to stand on two legs. Their tails are also very stubby.

It is considered to be a very gentle Pokémon. The mothers chew food for their young ones and are very kind to their fellow species. They chew the food into a paste and then spit it so that their children can eat the food.

However, they become nervous when they are separated from their pack. In addition, Nidorina do not prefer fighting because their horn grows back slowly if damaged.

However, they prefer to attack by biting or clawing their enemy if provoked to fight. They are also known to emit ultrasonic cries to confuse their enemy. This technique is especially helpful in escaping attacks.
