Scizor

Generation

Scizor belongs to Generation II.

Type

Scizor Pokémon has two types, Bug and Steel.

Evolutions

When exchanged with a metal coat (from Generations II to VII, Sword and Shield, and Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl) or exposed to a metal coat, it evolves into Scyther (Legends: Arceus). Scizor is one of Scyther’s last forms, along with Kleavor.

With the Scizorite, Scizor can Mega Evolve into Mega Scizor. Mega Scizor is a fearsome enemy, but its body melts, and it loses the ability to use its vast pincers. It can not keep its shape for a long time. It can’t control its body temperature because of surplus energy from its mega-evolution. It tears anything it grabs to bits with its pincers. It loves to beat its opponents instead of holding them.

The pincers of the Mega Scizor grow longer and sharper. Its claws have three-pointed spikes on the lower half and can turn white. Mega Scizor’s claw barbs can cut stones, so its enemies cannot escape.

Characteristics

Scizor looks like an ant with two legs and a metal-like body. There are simple, curled veins on its grey fore and hindwings. It has dark yellow pupils in its eyes and three horns above its forehead.

A black teardrop-like patch on its chest connects to its thin black neck. Scizor has broad shoulders with pincers that comprise a third of its weight. It has thin arms with segments.

Scizor lives in grasslands and very rarely in the wild. Scizor’s legs have broad hips, thin thighs, wide calves, and clawed toes on both sides of the feet. The Scizor has a round belly with three black lines, while the female’s stomach is larger than the male’s.

It has blue eyes with a thin black rim. Their eyes are blue, even without the black rim. A three-pointed crest on its forehead and patterns on its shoulders and thighs protect its body. The legs of Mega Scizor look like giant, sharp white spikes.

Capable of crushing any hard object, the body of Scizor is steel-like with powerful claws. There are patterns with black eyespots with yellow pupils that open and close like jaws. It is said that it has metallic muscles. To scare away its enemies, it raises and waves its claws to look like it has three heads.

The Scizor uses its claw to beat the enemy until they are dead. Scizor cannot fly. It saves its body from becoming too hot by moving its wings rapidly. It may be small in size, but it is powerful.
