Dunsparce

Japanese: ノコッチ Nokocchi

When Dunsparce sees a person, it digs a hole with its tail to make its escape. If you happen to find one, consider yourself lucky.

Dunsparce are normal-type Pokémon. They were first introduced during Generation II. They are not known to evolve into any other Pokémon.

Characteristics

Dunsparce are snake-like and insect-like Pokémon. They weigh around 14 kilograms or 30.9 pounds. They are 1.5 meters tall with a Medium Fast leveling rate. They have a yellow body with blue undersides.

They have blue and cream stripes on their back. Their heads are round with vast mouths. Their mouth is under their jowls and is curved up towards the middle of their face. Their chin is blue colored with two rounded prongs. Their eyes are round with blue rims.

They keep their eyes closed, and their cream-colored eyelids can be seen. They have two white wings on their upper back. There is a drill-like tail on the end of their body. Their species are 50% males and 50% females, with no distinct differences between the two.

Dunsparce can slightly float in the air with its wings. Some scientists believe they used to fly during ancient times, lost their flying abilities over time, and evolved into their present state.

Dunsparce avoids detection and flee the spot by burrowing their tail’s drilling powers into the ground. They are very good at escaping predators. They live peacefully in caves and below the earth. They make maze-nests under the ground. They can navigate through their maze-nests without getting lost. They do so by following the special smell of the dirt.
