Wobbuffet

Japanese: ソーナンス Sonans

Wobbuffet does nothing but endure attacks—it won’t attack on its own. However, it won’t endure an attack on its tail. When that happens, the Pokémon will try to take the foe with it using Destiny Bond.

Wobbuffet are psychic-type Pokémon. They were first introduced during Generation II. They evolve from Wynauts starting at Level 15.

Characteristics

Wobbuffet are tall Pokémon. They are cyan Pokémon with a soft body. They weigh 28.5 kilograms or 62.8 pounds. They are 1.3 meters tall with a Medium Fast leveling rate. Their eyes usually appear scrunched. They have a jagged upper lip.

The female Wobbuffet have red markings on their mouth that resemble lipstick. These markings are absent in males. Their species are 50% males and 50% females. They have flat arms that are wider at the tip and four legs.

Their legs are very stubby and located at the base of their body. There are two eyespots present at the very end of their black tail. These spots can be seen blinking and looking around using their tails. They can be seen turning aggressively if their tails are attacked.

They are submissive Pokémon and never attack first at other Pokémon. When they are attacked, they inflate their body and strike back. When two or more of them meet, they attempt to outlast each other in a battle of endurance.

However, since neither of them can attack, they may compete to see which of them can last longer without food. They have the ability to communicate via telepathy. They are highly overprotective Pokémon, they protect their tails like prized possessions. They are repulsed by light and live in dark caves.
