Misdreavus

Japanese: ムウマ Muma

This Pokémon is shaped like ancient writing. It is a mystery as to which came first, the ancient writings or the various Unown. Research into this topic is ongoing, but nothing is known.

Misdreavus are ghost-type Pokémon. They were first introduced during Generation II. They evolve into Mismagius when they are exposed to a Dusk Stone.

Characteristics

They are small, dark bluish-green, ghost-like Pokémon. They weigh around 1 kilogram or 2.2 pounds. They are 0.7 meters tall with a fast leveling rate. They have no visible arms or legs. Their lower half has several appendages and resembles a ruffled dress.

They have several round red gems around their neck. These gems are used to absorb fear as they use fear as their source of nourishment. When they are defeated, their body disappears. They are left with only gems around their neck.

This implies that once they are defeated, they retreat into their gems. This shows a state of severe weakness for them. They have long, flowing, lilac-tipped hair. Their large eyes have a yellow lining. Their species are 50% males and 50% females.

They can be found living in caves in the dark. As they are nocturnal animals, they spend their days sleeping in darkness and their nights startling people. They do a lot of mischievous tricks.

Since they love to watch people in fear, they bite on people’s hair and sneak up on them from behind to watch them shriek or cry. They were previously the only Pokémon that could learn the Pain Split by leveling up. They are shown to grasp onto objects and other Pokémon using their hair in place of their hands.
