Characteristics
Rattata is a rodent Pokémon that is small and has four legs. Purple fur is complemented by a cream-colored head, hands, and tummy. It has two whiskers grown over the cheeks. It has sharp red eyes with white sclera and pupils. Its ears are just like cats, small and pointy. The tail ends in a curl. Its large teeth are the most prominent feature. Their teeth continually grow throughout their lifetimes and must be worn down by gnawing. A female Rattata has short whiskers and thin fur.
Rattata can live anywhere as long as it can find the food it is always searching for. With the help of its big visible front teeth, it can cut and chew almost anything. These sharp teeth can also be used to bite while attacking. It also uses its teeth in its signature moves called Hyper Fang and Super Fang. Rattata is always attentive and keeps its ears alert to listen to the lowest sound from far away. Rattata are naturally preyed upon by furrets. Rattata is very rough and tough. It can survive in different environments but prefers to live across plains and grasslands. Rattata reproduce very quickly; therefore, a single pair can become a big colony within no time.
Rattata do not belong to Alola. They come by cargo ships from other regions. Rattatas were thriving in Alola until Yungoos were introduced to control them. As a result, Rattatas changed their habits to avoid these new predators. Raticate nestled in urban areas, and it became nocturnal. Alolan Rattata always looks for fresh food and does not eat spoiled ones. Instead, they peek into people’s homes to find fresh food. These Rattatas have dark gray fur and dark purple ears. Its ears have two clumps pointing upwards and on the tip of its tail. Its whiskers become short and thick, like tiny leaves. Its underbelly turns gray and ragged.
