Abilities

    • Pressure

Moves targetting this Pokemon use one extra PP. This ability stacks if multiple targets have it. This ability still affects moves that fail or miss. This ability does not affect ally moves that target either the entire field or just its side, nor this Pokemon's self-targetted moves; it does, however, affect single-targetted ally moves aimed at this Pokemon, ally moves that target all other Pokemon, and opponents' moves that target the entire field. If this ability raises a move's PP cost above its remaining PP, it will use all remaining PP. When this Pokemon enters battle, all participating trainers are notified that it has this ability. Overworld: If the lead Pokemon has this ability, higher-levelled Pokemon have their encounter rate increased.

Hidden Abilities

    • Static

Whenever a move makes contact with this Pokemon, the move's user has a 30% chance of being paralyzed. Pokemon that are immune to electric-type moves can still be paralyzed by this ability. Overworld: If the lead Pokemon has this ability, there is a 50% chance that encounters will be with an electric Pokemon, if applicable.

  I'm feeling lucky!

Zapdos

Japanese: サンダー Thunder

Zapdos are dual-type Pokémon. They are both Electric-type and Flying-type. They are Legendary Pokémon. They were first introduced during Generation I. They are not known to evolve from any other Pokémon.

Galarian region has a dual-type form that is both fighting-type and flying-type. They are one of the three Legendary Birds of Kanto. They are said to live among thunderclouds but are rarely ever spotted.

Characteristics

Zapdos are large, bird-like Pokémon. They have a yellow plumage with black markings around their wings. They have small, triangular eyes with a long, thin, light orange beak. Their wings and tails are masses of spiky feathers.

A large crest of spiky feathers surrounds their heads. Their thighs are tan and have thin, light-orange legs. They have three forward-facing toes and one backward-facing toe. Each of their toes has a short talon. They weigh 52.6 kilograms or 116 pounds. They are 1.6 meters tall.

When Zapdos flap their wings together, they produce electricity that is sufficient enough to cause thunderstorms. They make snapping and crackling sounds when they fly. They appear during thunderstorms and gain power when they are struck by lightning.

Galarian Zapdos has a different appearance than other forms of Zapdos. Their body is red with black plumage. Their head has yellow eyes with a mask-like appearance. Their legs are muscular, longer, and black. Their talons are yellow with red rings at their bases.

Their wings are smaller with black markings, which are their Kantonian counterparts. They are intelligent Pokémon and are always looking to battle other Pokémon. They seek opponents to test their might. They can be seen at Dyna Tree Hill once every few decades.
