Abilities

Pressure

Moves targetting this Pokemon use one extra PP. This ability stacks if multiple targets have it. This ability still affects moves that fail or miss. This ability does not affect ally moves that target either the entire field or just its side, nor this Pokemon's self-targetted moves; it does, however, affect single-targetted ally moves aimed at this Pokemon, ally moves that target all other Pokemon, and opponents' moves that target the entire field. If this ability raises a move's PP cost above its remaining PP, it will use all remaining PP. When this Pokemon enters battle, all participating trainers are notified that it has this ability. Overworld: If the lead Pokemon has this ability, higher-levelled Pokemon have their encounter rate increased.

Hidden Abilities

Snow-Cloak

During hail, this Pokemon has 1.25× its evasion, and it does not take hail damage regardless of type. The evasion bonus does not count as a stat modifier. Overworld: If the lead Pokemon has this ability, the wild encounter rate is halved in snow.

  I'm feeling lucky!

Articuno

Japanese: フリーザー Freezer

Articunos are dual-type Pokémon. They are both Ice-type and Flying-type Pokémon. They are legendary Pokémon. They were introduced during Generation I. They are not known to evolve from any other Pokémon.

In Galarian Region, Articunos have a psychic-type and flying regional form. They are one of the three legendary birds of Kanto, along with Zapdos and Moltres.

Characteristics

Articunos are large, bird-like Pokémon. They have sky-blue plumage and wings. Their wings are said to be made from ice. They have a crest on their forehead made from three rhombus-shaped feathers. They have red, circular eyes with a short, gray beak in place of their mouth.

Their feet have three forward-facing toes and one that faces backward. They have a mass of pale-blue feathers on their chests. They weigh 55.4 kilograms or 122.1 pounds. They are 1.7 meters tall with a slow leveling rate.

They have the power to control ice at will. They flap their wings and chill the moisture in the air around them. They can make snowfall as well. Articunos can move from one icy mountain to another. They live in isolated, cold locations like snowy mountains with permafrost.

Galarian Articunos have a distinct appearance. Their body is lavender with black markings on their chests. The feathers on their chest are longer, fused, and folded back. Their eyes glow light blue and appear to be closed.

When they utilize their psychic powers, their mask glows like their eyes. They keep themselves airborne with their psychic powers and never use their wings to fly. However, their wings are used to slice through hard objects like iron. They can be found congregating at Dyna Tree Hill.
