Porygon

Japanese: ポリゴン Porygon

Porygons are Normal-type Pokémon. They were first introduced during Generation I. They evolve into Porygon2 when they are traded while holding an Upgrade or when they are exposed to an Upgrade.

Polygon2 further evolves into Porygon-Z when they are traded while holding a Dubious Disc or when they are exposed to a Dubious Disc.

Characteristics

Porygons are made completely from programming code. They have an irregular-shaped, pink head with a blue beak and hexagonal eyes. They have a pink body with a blue front, blue triangular prism feet, and a blue rectangular prism tail. They weigh around 36.5 kilograms or 80.5 pounds.

They are 0.8 meters tall with a Medium Fast leveling rate. In 3D games, they can detach their limbs and head from their torsos. They have copy protection measures built into their programming code, meaning that they cannot be duplicated electronically. Their genders are unknown.

They were created more than 20 years ago in the Pokémon Lab on Cinnabar Island using the best technology of that time. However, since they are old Pokémon, many of their parts have become outdated. Porygons were the first Pokémon to be created through computer programming.

They do not need to eat or breathe but still accept food if given to them. They can convert their bodies into digital data and can travel through cyberspace.

They have been helpful in uncovering any suspicious data in cyberspace. People believe that polygons have the power to travel through space, but they have not shown this ability yet. As they are man-made Pokémon, they are mostly found living in labs and other office buildings.
