Abilities

    • Intimidate

When this Pokemon enters battle, the opponent's Attack is lowered by one stage. In a double battle, both opponents are affected. This ability also takes effect when acquired during a battle, but will not take effect again if lost and reobtained without leaving battle. This ability has no effect on an opponent that has a substitute. Overworld: If the first Pokemon in the party has this ability, any random encounter with a Pokemon five or more levels lower than it has a 50% chance of being skipped.

Hidden Abilities

    • Moxie

This Pokemon's Attack rises one stage upon knocking out another Pokemon, even a friendly Pokemon. This ability does not take effect when the Pokemon indirectly causes another Pokemon to faint, e.g. through poison or spikes. If this Pokemon knocks out a Pokemon with mummy, the former's ability will change without taking effect.

  I'm feeling lucky!

Gyarados

Japanese: ギャラドス Gyarados

Gyarados are dual-type Pokémon. They are both water-type and flying-type Pokémon. They evolve from Magikarps, starting from level 20.

They can Mega Evolve into Mega Gyarados using the Gyaradosite. They are found living in fresh and salty water but can also leap on land.

Characteristics

Gyarados are serpent-like Pokémon with long bodies. Their bodies are covered in slightly overlapping scales. They are blue with a yellow underbelly and a row of yellow spots on each side.

They have a large, gaping mouth with four pointed teeth and yellow lips. They have one barbell and a white fin on each side of their face. The barbels are white on females and blue on males. They have small, red eyes and a three-pointed, dark-blue crest on their heads. They have four fins on their sides.

Their tail fins are similar to the crest on their head, with a thin, white fin between the points. They are very large Pokémon and weigh around 235 kilograms or 518.1 pounds. They are 6.5 meters tall.

The process of evolution causes a change in their brain structure. That is believed to cause their violent nature. Their fangs can crush stones, and their scales are harder than steel.

They are feared for their fierce nature, temper, and destructive tendencies. They appear in times of conflict and destroy surrounding areas. Their rampages can last for up to a month. They can leap huge distances on water and land.

Their mega evolved form is bulkier. Their brains have destructive instructions, but they will obey a trainer they truly trust. Mega Gyarados is tried with Hoopa Unbound as the tallest Dark-type Pokémon.
