Abilities

    • Flame-Body

Whenever a move makes contact with this Pokemon, the move's user has a 30% chance of being burned. Overworld: If any Pokemon in the party has this ability, each egg in the party has its hatch counter decreased by 2 (rather than 1) each step cycle, making eggs hatch roughly twice as quickly. This effect does not stack if multiple Pokemon have this ability or magma armor.

Hidden Abilities

    • Vital-Spirit

This Pokemon cannot be asleep. This causes rest to fail altogether. If a Pokemon is asleep and acquires this ability, it will immediately wake up; this includes when regaining a lost ability upon leaving battle. This ability functions identically to insomnia in battle. Overworld: If the lead Pokemon has this ability, higher-levelled Pokemon have their encounter rate increased.

Magmar

Japanese: ブーバー Boober

Magmars are Fire-type Pokémon. They were first introduced during Generation I. They evolve from Magby starting at Level 30. Magby further evolves into Magmortar when traded while holding a Magmrizer. They are found living around volcanoes.

Characteristics

Magmars are human-like Pokémon. They have a red body with yellow flame designs along their bottom half. They have a small, puckered beak. Their eyes are small, and two lumps on their forehead with a yellow flame on top of each one.

They have yellow thighs and shoulders. They have five clawed fingers on each hand. They have black metal shackles around their neck and ankles. They have a row of red spikes down their backs. There is a flame on top of their tapering, yellowtails. They weigh around 44.5 kilograms or 98.1 pounds. They are 1.3 meters tall with a Medium Fast leveling rate.

Magmar’s body temperature is nearly 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. It gives their body an orange glow. They hate cold places and reside in volcanoes, where they are born. They have been known to spit scorching flames and make an ideal environment for themselves.

Alolan Magmars are sturdier than Magmars found elsewhere. They blow out intense flames during battle to intimidate their enemies. Extremely well-trained Magmars can block out electric-type attacks. They retreat and camouflage into fires when they are outmatched. They are very persistent and hunt down anyone who defeats them.

They can heal wounds and weariness by soaking lava in. Unfortunately, they have a bad habit of unintentionally burning their prey to crisp. As a result, they are always burning and are feared to be one of the leading causes of wildfires.
