Whenever a move makes contact with this Pokémon, the move's user has a 30% chance of being paralyzed. Pokémon that are immune to electric-type moves can still be paralyzed by this ability. Overworld: If the lead Pokémon has this ability, there is a 50% chance that encounters will be with an electric Pokémon, if applicable.

Hidden Abilities

    • Vital-Spirit

This Pokémon cannot be asleep. This causes rest to fail altogether. If a Pokémon is asleep and acquires this ability, it will immediately wake up; this includes when regaining a lost ability upon leaving battle. This ability functions identically to insomnia in battle. Overworld: If the lead Pokémon has this ability, higher-levelled Pokémon have their encounter rate increased.

  I'm feeling lucky!

Electrabuzz

Japanese: エレブー Eleboo

Electrabuzz are Electric-type Pokémon. They were first introduced in Generation I. They evolve into Elekids starting at Level 30, and it further evolves into Electivire when traded holding an Electrizer. They reside near power plants. They are also found in grasslands.

Characteristics

Electrabuzz is Humanoid Pokémon with a few cat-like traits. They are a male-dominated species with 75% males and 25% females. They have antennas with bulbous tips in place of their ears. They weigh around 30 kilograms or 66.1 pounds. They are 1.1 meters tall with a Medium Fast leveling rate.

They have two long tufts of hair on their head, small eyes, and large fangs. They have yellow fur with black stripes. In addition, there is a large lightning bolt-shaped stripe on their chest, a V-shaped stripe on their forehead, one stripe on their side, and a thick stripe down their back. They have five fingers in each hand.

They grow light blue in the dark from their electrical charges. They constantly leak more charges than they consume. They gather around tall trees in groups to wait for the upcoming storm. During torrential thunderstorms, they compete to find locations to be struck by lightning.

They do so to absorb power. They are used as an alternative to lightning rods. They can also communicate non-verbally by sending electrical signals when they are near other Electrabuzz. Blackouts have been known to happen when they gather around to consume electricity.

They are often blamed for blackouts, and Ground-type Pokémon are kept around power plants to keep Electrabuzz from raiding. They are enraged by the Red color. They windmill their arms to add momentum to their punches.
