Seadra

Japanese: シードラ Seadra

Seadras are Water-type Pokémon. They were first introduced in Generation I. They evolve from Horseas starting from Level 32 and evolve into Kingdras when they are traded while holding a Dragon Scale.

Characteristics

Seadras are light-blue Pokémon. They look like Seahorses. They have a cream-colored belly. Their body is filled with rough scales. They have a long, tubular mouth. Their eyes are narrow and black, with a fin-like ridge above each eye.

They have spiny fins on each side of their body. They also have a very large and coiled tail. In addition, they have a pair of fins located on the back of their body. These fins have a tapered shape and cream-colored tips.

They exude venom on their enemies using these sharp fins. Their venom is toxic enough to make their enemies numb. Humans have been known to faint on their venom. Their venom is prized among practitioners of traditional medicine. They weigh about 25 kilograms or 55.1 pounds. They are 1.2 meters tall with a Medium Fast leveling rate.

Seadras can swim in any direction they want as they face forward. They do so by rapidly flapping their wings and tails. They catch their prey by spinning their body and creating giant whirlpools.

Their prey eventually becomes exhausted, and Seadras catches it by engulfing them by using their long snout. They are found wiggling between or branching themselves to corals under the ocean. Male Seadras look after the young ones instead of the females.

They are marked as vicious Pokémon and may attack anyone who comes near their nest. Their venom becomes thicker and stronger than usual when looking after a young one.
