Tangela

Japanese: モンジャラ Monjara

Tangelas are Grass-type Pokémon. They were first introduced during Generation I. They evolve into Tangrowth when they are leveled up while knowing Ancient power. They can usually be found living in Temperate Grasslands.

Characteristics

Tangelas are covered by blue vines that resemble seaweed. They obscure their face but have a small opening that reveals their eyes surrounded by black space around them. The vines on their bodies give Tangela a round shape.

It is unknown what they look like without the vines. The vines on their body are covered in fine hair. They are always growing, and if they happen to be damaged or lost, replacements are grown.

There is a pair of red feet poking out from under the vines that look like boots. Their arms are not visible. They weigh around 35 kilograms or 77.2 pounds. They are 1 meter tall and have a Medium Fast leveling rate.

Tangelas have the special ability to entangle anything that comes close to them. They use their vines to attack their enemies. They jiggle and sway their vines, unnerving their enemies and causing tickling sensations in their bodies once they are captured. Their vines may snap off easily if their target pulls them.

Once their vines snap, they quickly escape from the area. Their vines have a particular scent. Their vines use combinations of Stun Spores to incapacitate their opponents during battle. In the Galarian Region, Their vines are used as herbs.
