Voltorb

Voltorb are electric-type Pokémon. They were first introduced in Generation I. They evolve into Electrodes at level 30.

In Hisui, Voltorb has a dual-type form. They are both Electric-type and Grass-type. They evolve on exposure to a Leaf Stone. They are generally found in power plants and other areas with electricity.

Characteristics

Voltorb is spherical Pokémon. They resemble a Poke ball. The top half of their body is red, and the bottom half is white. As they resemble Poke balls so much, it is said that they were created when a Poke ball was exposed to an energy pulse.

They are small Pokémon, weighing only 10.4 kilograms or 22.9 pounds. They are half a meter tall. The theory about their origin from Poke balls is supported because their components do not occur naturally.

They are found in areas with high electricity to feed easily. They were discovered in a plant where modern Poke balls were invented. They are very volatile and explode when they are agitated or bumped.

Hisuian Voltorb resembles Poke balls as well. They have the same wood grain pattern and a hole for discharging all their stored energy. They contain many seeds inside, and their insides are hard to inspect due to darkness.

They are a bit heavier in weight, weighing 13.0 kilograms or 28.7 pounds. These Voltorb have a distinctive red wooden eyebrow. Unlike Kantonian Voltorb, they have friendly nature and cluster around people.

They laugh whenever they discharge. They store electric currents in their bellies. People have temporarily plugged the holes of Hisuian Voltorb in their settlements and removed them later.
